Safety Products
Since inception in 2010, Safescape's unique mine safety products have helped over 185 mine sites worldwide to improve safety and boost operational efficiency.
From a miner with a big idea to a global leader in mine safety technology
Safescape, a privately-held Australian company, began operations in 2010 to develop, manufacture, market, and install a new type of mining escapeway invented by Managing Director, Steve Durkin.
The business has since grown domestically and internationally with Laddertube and an ever-expanding stable of products, and it is expected to grow dramatically in the coming years.
Australian manufacturer, global exporter
Safescape's head office is based in Bendigo in Regional Victoria and is home to the production facility for the Bortana EV. The manufacturing plant in Forrestfield, Perth, Western Australia makes for easy freight access and allows for a number of national and international freight options with road, rail and sea options readily available.
Our in-house manufacturing process gives us complete control over the quality of our products and a versatile production schedule.
Safety-first vehicles, made for mining
The fully electric Bortana EV has been made to last the long hard work schedules of underground mining. Developed to endure the harsh environment of a mine, it features a durable galvanised body and sealed chassis. We are also the Australasian distributor for the diesel powered Agrale Marruá.
